Results from Rio, Italy and Thailand

September 20th, Saturday, Flavio Machado and Luiz Eduardo Dentinho competed in the III leg of the Rio de Janeiro State Championships (FJJRio) and both brought impressive results. Dentinho took the gold in the adult brown belt open Div and ranked first on the annual ranking, while Flavio Machado took 2 silvers, in purple adult – 94kg and open division.

Romina “Bom-ba-yee” from Rio Grappling Club Livorno, won the ADCC Italy in Asti on the 28th of September, displaying an awesome performance, she was sick the day before, and fought like a lioness to win two matches, qualifying to the Europeans in Kraków, Poland, next month.

Last but not least, our greek friend Dimitrios Tsitos, returning to Bangkok after winning the No Gi Ramadan Open in Abu Dhabi, entered the Thailand BJJ and Grappling Open and went on a rampage, winning two golds in the GI comp, purple -90kg and open, taking two more medals without GI, this time a silver and bronze. Our friend Dimitrios Tsitos, from Athens, Greece, won the open division and his weight class (-92kg).

Tsitos was in Brasil about two and a half years ago training with me, Mariusz Koziej, Bernardo Serrini and Gianluca Boni. We travelled and competed in Florianopolis, Brasil.

We met again in Greece a year ago and later he moved east, in a trip that took him to China, Korea, Australia and Thailand. He arrived in Dubai and took part of the Ramadan Cup, taking two golds and a cash prize of 3 Thousand Euro. Watch 2 of his matches here:
